1. About Vasiyat

Vasiyat is a document-generation tool that helps users create a formatted Will document. Vasiyat is NOT a law firm, does NOT provide legal advice, and does NOT create an attorney-client relationship.

2. No Legal Advice

The Will generated by Vasiyat is formatted according to the general requirements of the Indian Succession Act, 1925. However, inheritance law in India varies by religion, state, and individual circumstance. You should consult a qualified legal professional for advice specific to your situation, particularly for:

• Complex estate structures
• Ancestral or coparcenary property under Hindu law
• Bequests subject to Muslim Personal Law limitations
• Foreign assets or cross-border inheritance
• Business succession planning

3. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and completeness of information you provide
• Properly signing and witnessing the generated Will
• Safe storage of your Will and any vault files
• Seeking professional legal advice when needed

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and of sound mind to use Vasiyat to create a Will, as required under the Indian Succession Act, 1925.

5. Subscription & Payments

Subscriptions are annual. Prices are inclusive of GST where applicable. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your subscription entitles you to the features of your chosen tier for one year from the date of purchase.

6. Limitation of Liability

Vasiyat's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any losses arising from reliance on the generated document without professional legal review.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
